  • Typical profiles

    EXPERIENCED CONSULTANT

    A degree in computer science, information systems, mathematical or related engineering (e.g. electrical or computer)

    • Professional qualification in Accounting or Risk

    • 5 + years experience of working with financial, risk or regulatory data within the banking / FS sector

    • Strong knowledge of and experience with any of the following

      • data visualisation tools and business analytics - dashboards, drill-downs, process maps, etc.

      • relational databases including related languages: SQL, DDL and DML

      • machine learning algorithms - neural networks, regression analysis, Bayesian networks, Markov logic networks, etc.

      • data syntaxes, schemas and transformations - XML, XBRL, JSON, RDF, OWL, XSD, XSLT, etc.

      • business rules development - Drools, Guvnor, SWRL, SQWRL, etc.

    • Business process analysis and modeling skills, such as process flows and use cases.

    • Experience in data modelling concepts, practices and techniques: relational and dimensional modeling, ETL design, ontologies and taxonomies.

    • Knowledge of data integration and master data management solutions and techniques.

     

     

    ENTRY LEVEL ANALYST

    • Degree in computer science, information systems, mathematical or related engineering (e.g. electrical or computer)

    • 1-2+ years of hands-on technical experience mining and analysing data sets. This could include focused graduate or intern work.

    • Demonstrated ability to help analysts or act as an analyst to clarify information needs and business requirements (ideally for the financial industry).

    • Proficiency with a variety of applications and programming languages related to the domains described, above and beyond expected experience with Microsoft Office applications.

    • Strong experience with specific programming and SDLC paradigms, in particular, MVC and agile development.
